If there is one crop Colombia is globally famous for, that would be their coffee. I must say that you cannot find finer coffee anywhere else. And in this fast-becoming Starbucks planet, Colombia's position in the global market for coffee is growing more important.
Hence, the National Federation for Coffee Growers in Colombia was formed. This federation was institutionalized because of the need to set standards in Colombia's growing coffee market. It also helps members by giving out effective techniques to efficiently grow beans. Colombia needs an institution like this if it wants to stay in the coffee market.
