Cartagena: The New New Zealand

expats Cartagena The New New Zealand
Have you heard of Lord of the Rings? I'm sure you have, though, personally, I didn't enjoy watching a single LOTR movie. Seriously.

Anyway, my point here is that New Zealand had a boost in tourism when LOTR (some scenes or all of the scenes, I do not know) was shot there. In the same way, Cartagena will have a boost when Love in the Time of Cholera by Garcia Marquez is released this coming January. It's a romantic book, as I can see, having the romantically and arhitecturally rich Cartagena as its setting. Looks like a cross between Rome and Mexico to me.

Living in Colombia

retirement Living in Colombia
Many people say that Colombia is either the best or the worse for retirees. I say its in the middle. It just depends on your way of your life.

US$1 equals to about more than 2 thousand Colombian Peso. Means this is actually a not so expensive place to live. A good meal a day would cost about 14$ and properties for sale ranges from 20,000 to 200, 000 dollars.

For more info, visit the reviews and articles on the link below.
