Welcome to Medellin

By Website Introductions at 07/28/08 21:19

Vibrant, affluent, and very cosmopolitan. This is the city of Medellin, one of Colombia's and South America's most beautiful cities.

You were probably blinded by the general view of Colombia if you will insist that Medellin is another rebel hub, because it is most definitely not. Go ahead and check out for yourself what this city has to offer.

The Real Colombia

By Website Introductions at 07/25/08 14:28
To an outsider, going to Colombia for a vacation is an act of insanity, something worth laughing--or be surprised--at. This is because Colombia is, generally, viewed by the outside world as terrorist hub, a land of rebels where every corner is dangerous.

Visiting Colombia for yourself, however, will tell you that Colombia, in general, is not like that. Of course, there are still areas where there are insurgents, but in the tourist areas, it's safe.

Hostages from Pentagon finally rescued

By Website Introductions at 07/09/08 14:53
After five long years, three Pentagon contractors who were kidnapped in 2003 are finally rescued in the jungles of Colombia.

For many years now, American and Colombian authorities admitted that they had known the whereabouts of the contractors were, but they did not pursue a rescue mission because of the difficult terrain of the Colombian jungles. It was, in fact, through spy infiltration that tricked the leftist rebels to give up the hostages. More details here in CNN.
