As this website claims, preconstruction is the "most profitable phase of investment in real estate." Probably because you still have control over location, layout, and financing options.

This website, NewDevelopments.com, showcases just that. It's quite a unique directory that offers preconstruction projects instead of ready-for-occupation ones. Currently, there are listings in Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, and the United States. They even have listings in places as far as Spain and Thailand.
